Overview
About Me
Hi! I am Claudio, an Italian guy studying languages in Rome, though originally from Sicily. I've lived for one semester in Germany for Erasmus. I am reasonably fluent in four languages, and am always interested in learning more. I am passionate about languages, and love immersing myself in new cultures and lifestyles.
I have a boyfriend of three years.
I'm not a big drinker, but I enjoy sharing a few beers with friends. I am a smoker, but am very respectful and will happily not smoke inside someone's house if they'd prefer.
I am open minded and easy going, open to all kinds of different activities and experiences. I am flexible and willing to give anything a go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and meet new people from different cultures. I think CouchSurfing is a really useful (and cheap :D) option to meet new people and to utilize the languages I have learnt. I believe CouchSurfing offers a more authentic cultural experience than staying in a hotel or hostel. Most of all, it allows you to live like a local, which is what I look for when I travel.
Interests
I love art, architecture and exploring cities; one of my favourite things to do is spend an entire day aimlessly wandering around a big city.
I like reading, but have not had much time to do it lately. I love movies and TV shows and watching them in good company.
I also like to go out at night. I don't mind an occasional dance, but I would rather go to a pub to have a few drinks and a chat with my mates, than go to dance clubs all night long.
I can cook quite well and I love to do it (although I don't love to wash the dishes :D).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the most amazing things in my life are my travels. Every one of them left a toll inside me that will never ever go away.
But so far, I would say that the most incredible and fulfilling experience I've had is the Erasmus. And I say this, not just because of the places I've visited, but because of the people I've met and that have helped me fulfilling this experience and making it worth; sharing cultures, points of view, perspectives: that's definitely the most amazing thing I've ever done so far.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would happily teach a bit of Italian to anyone who would be interested in learning it. I would also be glad to learn the basics of languages, other than those I already speak.
It goes without saying, I'm always keen to practice and improve my English, German and Spanish.
I would also happily share some Italian cooking tips, as well as learn cooking tips from other cultures and cuisines.
