About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Understand what goes on with atoms, molecules, crystals, and so on

ABOUT ME

I am a Physicist that once had a dream: I wanted to understand thinks in the atomic scale. So, I have been studying Physics since 2004 - graduated in Physics and got my Masters degree in Physicis also. Now I am a PhD student in Nanosciences, which is as nerd as Physics. I like to travel and ride my bike. I also look at both sides before crossing the street!

PHILOSOPHY

I am not sure if there is another life after this one. I do not have enough evidence of that. So I believe we should be nice to each other and enjoy our lives the most, because that's what has been given to us!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My wife has been on couchsurfing for some time and I was also interested in hosting and being hosted when travelling. Also because she told me so and she's the boss.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have been to some weekly meetings in São Paulo area and have hosted some very nice people. I have also spent a few days at some other couch surfer's place. All these were amazing experiences and I have made some good friends!

Interests

Interested in traveling, learning about foreign cultures and languages, Physics, computers, science and nerd stuff in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: from SoAD to classic music. To tell the truth, anything will do fine! Movies: those that at the end you say to yourself "wtf???" like Fight Club or most of Tarantino's
Books: I enjoyed all Carls Sagan's books that I could read, as well as George R. R. Martin's a Song of Ice and Fire. Yeah, I'm a kind of person who's just too old for Harry Potter but not cult enough for the classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing that I have done is yet to be accomplished. Going to the moon or a blackhole would be just awesome!

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I am able to teach many nerd stuff, like calculus, Physics, algebra, programming, supercomputer architecture and a little bit of chemistry. I can also teach some things about bike repairing!
What I would like to learn? Well, to tell the truth, there are so many things that one life is not enough! But I am particularly interested in learning foreing languages, at the moment, japanese mainly.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a fair knowledge of interesting places and activities in São Paulo area, some beers, food, shelter and my friendship.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Peru, United States
