Overview
About Me
I'm an electronics engineer currently working as a software developer. I'm also doing a 2nd bachelor's degree during the weekends so time's a bit short. Whenever I do have time, I enjoy working out at the gym or riding my motorbike. Spending time with my friends and going out, specially checking out new places, is also something I enjoy doing. I play the guitar a bit, can practically fix anything with moving parts and/or electronic components, and I do speak English and French. I've been married and I have a daughter, she's 4 and 1/2 now, and I love spending time with her as often as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I feel now, more than ever, that I'm stuck in the 9 to 18 routine and it sucks the fun out of life. I've been doing a great deal of soul searching and personal improvements over the past year or so and here are a few points I've figured out along the way:
-I don't need 99% of the stuff I have. It does not make me happy and It never will.
-The only thing I get to keep are my experiences and my memories.
-Happiness is a state of mind and a personal choice.
-Karma, the universe or God, call it as you please, gives you back exactly what you put forward.
-People will treat you with the same respect that you have for yourself.
I'm considering taking a sabbatical and traveling for a little while. I'd like to meet people who are already doing this and who feel like sharing some of their stories.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music interest change with time, but I'm going to endeavor listing some reoccurring trends.
-Elvis Presley
-House (started out with ATB back in the 90s , now I'm more into Caribbean House)
-Evergreens
I love science fiction and sometimes I feel I've seen all the films and series. If I had to choose only one , it'll be Star Trek the Next Generation.
To be perfectly honest, I don't do a lot of reading. I never did. I'm not illiterate, but I rather prefer getting my information through other mediums.
Last book I read was Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov after watching the films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was fat, miserable , trapped in a toxic relation ship and on the point of giving up. I'm currently athletic, have tremendous levels of energy and have become somewhat of a motivational speaker among the people I know. The're no magic, no talent , no hidden key. Ambition, sweat, determination and honesty . Especially with yourself. The rest is discipline. It's not immediate, but you'll be rewarded tenfold.
So, yeah, one amazing thing I've done : I've taken my life back and aimed it in a direction I've always wanted to go, but was to afraid to.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help travelers with guidance and even hosting if not otherwise engaged.
I'd like to live vicariously through some traveler's eyes. Maybe even get inspired by that spark and someday doing it myself.
What I Can Share with Hosts
The couch in my ling room :)
A nice walk in my town, maybe even some beers if the weather is nice.
