Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Usually enjoy all sorts of films, except for creepy, horror films.

Music: Depends on the mood but I enjoy a wide array including house, trance, showtunes, new wave, and cheesy love songs.

Books: any Calvin and Hobbes, works of C.S. Lewis, Peter David, Michael Craft, Jerry Oppenheimer, Andrew Tobias, Arnold Arre, Sophie Kinsella, Armistead Maupin, Lauren Weisberger, Carlo Vergara, and anything by Timothy James Beck, Michael Thomas Ford and Alex Sanchez

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Always, always amazed by the grand architecture in this part of the world. From the Angkor complex in Siem Reap to Borobudur in Yogyakarta to Intramuros in Manila, I am just impressed with the rich culture and the diversity in Southeast Asia. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Some useful Tagalog phrases if you do find yourself in Manila.

Bayad po. = Here's my fare.
Para. = Stop the vehicle please.
Salamat. = Thank you.
Ingat. = Take care.
Tawad naman. = Very useful for haggling at a Pinoy flea market.
