Overview
About Me
I am currently a cook at the Cozy Lounge in Columbus, Indiana. I have always wanted to travel and live in other places. I enjoy seeing new places and meeting new people although I'm a bit of an introvert at times. I have always looked up to people that are able to travel so freely and I really hope that I can overcome my fears of running out of money and getting stranded thousands of miles from home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on CouchSurfing because I hope that with a support system like CouchSurfing I may be more comfortable committing to travel. I do not have my own place right now but when I do, I hope to offer my home to others who need it. I also like the idea of meeting new people from around the world.
Interests
I enjoy playing guitar and banjo, messing around with computers, hiking, hunting, hanging out with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Really wide selection. I like a lot of roots music. Really old blues, country, folk, jazz. I don't really listen to the radio much. Modern pop music is not my cup of tea. Some favorites are Bob Dylan, Mississippi John Hurt, Simon & Garfunkel, Old 97's, Whiskeytown and Ryan Adams.
Movies:
Dark comedies, dry humor, suspense and thrillers.
Books:
I like a lot of beat literature. I think my favorite author is Jack Kerouac. I also like to read poetry. ee cummings, Carl Sandburg, Richard Brautigan, Charles Bukowski
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travel! In the summer of 2013, me and my friend Casey took off on a road trip across the western United States. Leaving from Indiana, we went to Colorado, headed up north through Yellowstone to Glacier National Park in Montana, then headed west to Seattle. From there we drove all the way down the coast to San Diego and then headed back east through Las Vegas, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas. We ended up driving close to 10,000 miles and spent 5 weeks on the road living out of our car and hotels when we absolutely had to have a bed. It was an amazing journey and inspired a lot of hope that long-term travel is possible.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share some warm company, long talks about religion, science, and music. I really hope to learn a lot from hosts too as they've probably seen a lot of travelers and can share stories and experiences.
