Overview
About Me
My name is Clay. I am an avid windsurfer and artist, eager to travel the world and indulge in life's rich experiences. I'm a can do kinda guy who's always ready for a new project or adventure. I've been following the wind up and down the Pacific Coast as a windsurfing instructor, selling my artwork and teaching classes along the way.
I am an excellent Cook with a taste for organic produce and fresh fish.
I love meeting new people, sharing music around campfires, and making delicious food with the family. These moments are precious to me, and have shaped me into who I am today.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am a couchsurfer because I want to experience local culture and meet friendly people. I'm going for the full immersion experience; Living the lifestyle, speaking new languages, and connecting with people around the world.
I believe in balance and want to contribute to my hosts in what every way I can for their generosity. let me know if you need help with a project, or if you could use a hand in the kitchen! I'm here to help out.
Interests
I love hiking along the ocean and in the mountains, fly fishing on river banks, laying down and looking up at trees, savoring epic sunsets. I love to create; Ceramics, paper mache, found art, metal working, flame working, you name it. I am a total board-head too; Windsurfing, surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, kiteboarding. I live for flowing down the line and shredding gnar!!
Music, Movies, and Books
The Beatles, Marvin Gaye, The Beach boys, Bill withers, Credence Clearwater, James Brown, Funkadelic, Bobby Mcferrin, Yes, A Tribe Called Quest, The Gorillaz, Aretha Franklyn, The Roots, Outkast,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My best friend and I Biked from the Bay Area across California to Yosemite. Once we got there, we went for a 40 mile hike through the wilderness and befriended some mountain folks along the way. After our hike, we hitchhiked through the mountains for a month, exploring hot springs and stand up paddle boarding on alpine lakes.
So far my travels have taken me from Baja, Mexico to Alaska, and every where in-beetween. The pacific ocean is where I call home.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a passion for teaching and love to share with others. lets work on some art projects together or make a food collaboration! If your interested in windsurfing I could teach you how. I am up for anything, and i'm eager to learn new things.
I want to give back in any way I can in exchange for my stay. Take it as a token of my gratitude. I look forward to the memories to come!
