About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Figure myself out - one country at a time!

ABOUT ME

If I had my way, I would work for one year, travel for three months, and so on. But, well, I don't (yet), so when I'm not slaving myself in the corporate world, I'm dreaming of escaping from the rat race.
There are countless places I want to visit, but I will also go to Israel time and time again.
I love children, and look forward to meeting my own in the future.
I'm drawn to all art forms, but have come to accept that I have no talent whatsoever (I mean, to artsy things - I can still draft you a hell of a contract!)
Love my friends, and was blessed with a handful of those that are really hard to find.
Have my regrets, but I'm working at not adding new ones to the list.
Quick-witted people with a sense of humor (all kinds really, black, dry, sarcastic...) are really up my alley.
The passage of time worries me, but I will still sleep in given the opportunity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wish I could be more involved than I am right now.

Interests

Visiting new places and meeting new people that otherwise I would never meet; listening to people's love stories (I will be the one that asks a couple how they met); reading and listening to good music (both great subjects for passionate discussions); having said discussions over some drinks (preferably beer, maybe some wine); eating great food with people that are not worried about their weight, and who also have a sweet tooth like me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love "The Unbearable Lightness of Being", R.E.M., "The Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind", Echo & The Bunnymen, the work of Vladimir Maiakovski, Velvet Underground, e.e.cummings,"Wings of Desire", Lost (seriously, I got addicted to this), all things Almodovar, Nirvana, Nicole Krauss & Jonathan Safran Foer, Johnny Cash, comics and graphic novels like Persepolis, Maus, Mafalda by Quino, Calvin and Hobbes, The Far Side, "Mulholland Drive", Tarantino, "Before Sunrise" & "Before Sunset", Greek Mythology, "The Shawshank Redemption", and a thousand more books, bands and movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is difficult to pinpoint an amazing thing in particular, but I have so far been blessed with these experiences, in no particular order: I have climbed Mt. Sinai and watched the most amazing sunrise ever; did a felluca trip around the Nile for a couple of days; fulfilled a childhood dream by watching a whirling dervishes ceremony; laughed uncontrollably during the free fall part of a parashoot jump; was humbled by the overwhelming experience of ballooning over Cappadocia; and marvelled at the monuments in Petra and all over Egypt (and suffered terribly with the heat while at it).

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Bahamas, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Jordan, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, Israel, Kenya, United States
