About Me

!!! I AM VERY SORRY!!! Currently neither in Menton, nor in Beirut anymore. As soon as I'll have moved, I will update things here to host, if I can, to give back for all the amazing things I got from couchsurfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just love to meet new people (well that's pretty much a quote from any couchsurfer's profile, good on me for coming up with that!!).
Sometimes I get over the usual Backpacker-Hostel-Talk. You know like "Where do you come from" "Where do you go next" "Have you been to blablabla" .... Sure those questions are not completely irrelevant but I'd rather talk about the place I'm at sometimes. Things to do, places to go, people to meet, food to try, parties to celebrate - that kind of stuff.
Apart from that I love that special couchsurfing-atmosphere, when you just pop up at someone's house and you know that this is going to be where you stay for the next few days. Hard to explain, but you'll probably know what I mean anyway.

Interests

I play the drums, and LOVE music. I have played football all my life (what a surprise for a German), I have refereed a bit too actually.
Since my time in New Zealand I have fallen in love with the tactical diversity of Rugby, which I´m playing in my Uni-team now.

I am quite into politics, but love any discussion about anything. Sharing opinions, or hearing what others think, that is kind of what it is all about I think.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a car in New Zealand for six months, working anything from fruit-removal engineer (read: Cherry Picker) to Tax Advisor for small businesses (Putting on my suit on the back-seat). Freedom camped at the most amazing places: on the edge of cliffs, on lonely beaches, on mountain tops and in city parking lots outside the clubs (obviously) haha

What I Can Share with Hosts

The best things I can offer probably emerge from the kitchen. For instance A legendary LAOS Banana-Coconut-Pancake with a chocolate-topping, an old lady from Tad Lo in Laos taught me how to make. Its literally legendary, as the Banana and the coconut aren't like on, but IN the pancake. Like seriously I fell in love with that woman after I had tried my first bite. - Yes I'm a helpless Foodie!
