About Me

PARA OS AMIGOS BRASILEIROS:

Oi pessoal!

------

Born and grown up in the middle of nowhere in the French countryside, I spent then most of my life (14 years...) at the crowded heart of France, in Paris, let's say that I like contrasts !

I kept from the early years the taste for living wild adventures and exploring nature (and watching birds, true!) and from the latest, many friends and the desire of meeting people.

Having always been passionate about biology, I studied life sciences, environmental policies and agriculture. I worked then 6 years for the French Ministry of agriculture until I got a bit tired to be in an office all day long... So I quit.

Now I am enjoying free time to meet people, experiment new things and think of my future ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I like to travel, to meet local people, share simple things with them and get to know how they actually live. I don't expect them to show me THE supposed best spots of the surroundings but just what they like!

And I love to follow my one (and slow) pace, staying few weeks in the same place rather than jumping from an hostel to another one. To me, that's how you get to know the soul of the places you visit. Or maybe I am also a little bit lazy to keep on moving constantly ;)

Currently not settled in any fixed location, I am in a nomadic mode and therefore can not accept any guest. But otherwise I would be very keen on giving back to people what they offered to me, of course!

Interests

I love many things. But if I had to choose three of them, it would be those ones!

- Nature and wilderness
As a boy grown up in the country side, it has always been a necessity for me to get lost in the middle of the forest or the mountains as often as I can!

- Rock climbing
Use to play rugby before... But many times my body remind me that it is not a sport for people over thirty years old ! Since then, I got really involved into climbing and I am loving it so much today that I think I couldn't live without it. And it gives me a lot of opportunities to go in the wild, so that's just perfect for me!

- Photography
My father gave me his old analogical camera (the best seller Canon AE1) when I was young. I immediately loved it and took a lot of pictures in my backyard and wherever I could! Later, I moved to a digital camera but was a bit confounded at first because I could'nt afford a camera as good as the my old one... Since I worked and earned some money then, I got a new and good one last year. Now I am back in the game! :) No need to tell you that my favorites subjects are... nature, mountains and climbers !
