ABOUT ME

I'm a student, currently finishing up a degree in gender studies, religious studies and sociology. I spend most of my time creating old-timey music, writing and creating artwork for my radical sex education zine (heavypettingzine.com), discussing social and philosophical theory, biking around the city, starting a million books and watching British television.

Things that I am currently learning from my housemates in our intentional community, The Ladies' Den, and that I would love to become more familiar with: sustainability (urban gardening and farming), anarchism, nature religions, radical mental health, wild-crafting, practical applications of my knowledge through activism and social work.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy tends to align with radical, queer, feminist and anarchist principles. I believe in the equality of all peoples, while understanding the intersectional privileges/oppression of myself and others. I do not do well with authority, especially unearned.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have hosted couchsurfers at our house before, but there has been a lull in the visitors staying in our home, and I'd like to change that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in NYC for a few days at Michael's house in Brooklyn. It was a lovely experience, he was able to bring us along to places that we would have never experienced without him. An amiable lad, our group and him clicked immediately.
