About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Opening my mind by traveling the world, meeting people and soaking up new cultures

ABOUT ME

I try to not have a negative impact on anyone's life, though I can't say for sure I always succeed at that. Freedom is something that I couldn't live without. I do realize it is a subjective notion. I just don't like being told how I should live my life. I am well aware of how lucky I am to have the chance to see the world. I always had food in my belly and a roof above my head (give or take a few nights), and that is already more than what too many people can say. Yes, I am lucky bastard, but I still find stuff to complain about every now and then. After all, I am french, ain't I?!

PHILOSOPHY

I would love to live in a world where people and nations share the dalai lama's philosophy. That is not saying that I want everyone to be buddhist (I am not). Compassion, non-violence, tolerence, personal development, detachment, respect for all form of life, you know, this kind of stuff.
Arts! Arts are really important to me too in this crazy world.
And a good sense of humor. You will need that!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate in trying to not fuck up this planet more than it already is. Good enough?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I have slepts in bus station's benches before, does it count?

Interests

People.
Travels.
Music.
Photography.
Movies.
A bit lame all that, I don't feel like I am being original, but so what, am I supposed to lie? Like Bob Dylan would say "I'm just like him, the same as you".

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: british and american stuff from 60's and 70's (Hendrix, Stones, pink floyd), Bob Dylan, Blues, a little bit of Jazz, and a lot of African music please (mostly from west africa)

Movies: Scorsese, Chaplin, Malick, Huston, Kubrick... this kind of shit. I am open to any kind of cinema really

Books: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, Kingdom of Fear, To Kill a Mockingbird... I won't lie, I don't read as much as I should

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't think I have ever done anything AMAZING. But i do like thinking about my 3 months trek in the Nepalese himalaya without guide or porter, or the marathon I completed (or should I say survived). Climbing Kilimanjaro is something I am happy to have done too. Those are not big things, they won't impress anyone, but eh, I take what I can

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be more than happy to share my experiences, though they mostly center around traveling...
