CURRENT MISSION
See the world and be happy
ABOUT ME
I am an open-minded person interested in other cultures and in meeting new people. Having a great conversation is more important to me than partying, although I'd never say no to go out for drinks or to dance. But I'm not good at describing myself in a few sentences - I'd much rather give you an idea of what I am like in person!
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing first helped me to find a great roommate when I moved into a new country - it was so easy just to ask in a group forum whether anyone knew a good way to find a room, and one day later I got the first offer. The first actual surfing experiences were also great - Travelling and doing all the tourist stuff to see a knew city, but with all the knowledgeable recommendations by locals. And then it's great in the evening to come home to an actual home rather than a hostel and talk to amazingly friendly and interesting people about their city and just about so many other things.
Interests
I love travelling and have made the experience that you get to know a country far better when you stay at someone's house rather than just in a hotel. Although I have lived nearly all of my life in cities, I love nature and spending time outdoors - hiking, running, biking, whatever. Another of my favourite ways to spend my time is meeting friends to cook and a share a nice (vegetarian) meal.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch so many movies...
But I listen to a lot of music - mostly Indie Rock/ Indie Pop but basically anything will do as long as it sounds interesting.
And books... I'm a compulsive reader, I never leave my house without a book. Mostly I read novels, sometimes also thrillers and crime.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was lucky enough to be able to go abroad for some work/study experiences several times in the past years which gave me the opportunity to spend some months in Japan, Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Scotland and Spain. In each country I have met incredible people and had quite unique experiences that made me grow as a person.
