ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly person living in Nottingham. I enjoy being outdoors, getting out to places & meeting people. I work as a freshwater ecologist but I'm also trying to finish my PhD (don't ever do one!!). When I've finished studying I plan to travel around & eventually live in Romania or France, but that's not stopping me having adventures in other places too.

I'm curious about different countries & cultures, love trying new things & would like to learn about places from local points of view, making new friends along the way (standard CS talk, but very true!).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard good things from friends who've CS'd in different countries before & decided to get involved.

I like the fact that it provides an easy way to meet with people from all over the world & I look forward to sharing stories & experiences with people through CSing.

Summer 2011 a friend & I met CSers in Romania, Bosnia, Slovenia & Italy which led to some great fun & interesting experiences!

It may not seem amazing to everyone but when I was working in France I used to love lying on the beach at night with friends, watching the stars, hearing the sea in the background.

I've started knitting... don't laugh! :) Although I'm not very good I could introduce you to it & maybe give tips on things to avoid - I have made many mistakes while learning so far!
