About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn about and see the world, and to help others do the same.

ABOUT ME

Well my life pretty much revolves around nature and the environment. I'm a Park Ranger, which has given me the opportunity to travel to some of the most beautiful, pristine places in the United States. I am also an artist, and most of my works are focused on the natural world, whether they are pretty drawings of landscapes or of more bloody, message-driven pieces meant to enlighten people to the horrors that the human race is inflicting on our planet. My other passion in life is traveling. Seeing the world, learning about other cultures, meeting people from all the ends of the earth, there is something so magical about all of those. I'm dying to go on another trip already!!!!! There is so much more to see!!!

I'm a pretty laid back guy. My viewpoints are definately on the liberal side. I'm down to earth, open-minded, friendly, and love meeting new people. I have very strong opinions on issues, but i also really enjoy hearing other sides and opinions as well. Basically, i just try to be a good person and live a good life. I'd like to think I'm helping to make a change in this world, and that after I'm gone, this place will be a little bit better because of things i've done. Seeing all that is wrong in this world today, and what people consider to be important nowadays (money, fame, plastic surgery, power, huge mansions, etc. etc) and all of the evil they commit to attain those things, disgusts me to no end, but also serves as an inspiration to try to help change things and educate minds.

PHILOSOPHY

Be the change you wish to see in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being that I'm a Park Ranger, I'm usuall living in some of the most beautiful places on Earth. I'm still not sure where I'll be this summer, but should know for sure at the end of this week. I think its either going to be Alaska or the Grand Canyon. So wherever i end up, there should be a couch or an extra bed waiting for somebody.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed with my friend James through Iceland, staying at places she found through this site.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm lucky because this could be a long list. Lets see: Probably the best is having 3 orca's swim right under my kayak. i've gotten to work with a mountain lion. I was able to help take measurements, help carry it, then watch it awake and run off into the woods. I've been extremely close to a black bear as I was trying to scare it away from a campground I was working at. And have seen many, many other bears in their natural habitat. Holding an alligator, kayaking with alligators, sharks, dolphins and manatees. All of them coming remarkably close to me. I've seen and worked in and explored some of the most amazing parks on earth. I have traveled all over Europe, eating the most mouth watering foods, dranking wine and beer, spending all day in art museums, seeing breathtaking architecture, immersing myself in amazing history, and most importantly, meeting and spending time with people who would become great friends and would always be in my heart and thoughts. Invited to a Hopi kachina dance, but also was invited to stay on the reservation, wake up with the family, help prepare, watch the dance, and then eat with everyone. Truly an incredibly special experience!!!!
