About Me

CURRENT MISSION

figuring out a way to sustain myself so that my hands can touch the dirt around the world; and touch the hands that touch that dirt. then wash it off with some seawater.

ABOUT ME

I'm back in Mountain View, CA, working for a freelance web development company. There's a few days' worth of travel left on my Amtrak California Rail Pass and I'm planning on visiting McKinleyville on Monday, because.. why not? I've never been further north than Sacramento in my beloved home state.

PHILOSOPHY

Peace, Love, Enjoy

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm available to host! My apartment is about 1 mile from the Mountain View Caltrain Station.

This Monday, I'm looking to couchsurf up in McKinleyville and hike through nature and trees! I'm coming into town via Amtrak bus. Where should I check out?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While traveling I met a bunch of people that told me about CS. The first time I really heard about it was in Medellin, Colombia, where I befriended a guy who was Couch Surfing all over Colombia. I also met some German friends while in Conoa, Ecuador, who live in Quito, Ecuador. They are the biggest Couch Surfing hosts in Quito and they loved it. I've met some amazing people from CouchSurfing in Ohio, India and Rio de Janero.

I think all you CSers will agree, CouchSurfing is a revolutionary idea. It is changing the world in it's own small way by bringing great people together whether in our local communities or on the other side of the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Romeo and Juliet may be my favorite. I'm a fan of poetry and Shakespeare.
I also like new-age positive psychology books like Drive, Start With Why, and Switch.
Some good fiction masterpieces: The Godfather, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Story of Edgar Sawtelle.

I recently decided that music is best when you're away. I like Muse and Deadmau5 and everything in between --pretty much anyone that you would find at Coachella Music Festival.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked through Central and South America for almost 5 months.

Teach, Learn, Share

Want to learn chess or improve your skills? I used to be a chess teacher. When I'm back in California I'd be happy to teach you how to surf.

I'm also interested in talking shop with fellow developers and designers.

I'm interested in learning about your home town, what's it like? Tell me your travel stories. Where do you want to go next?
