About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Change the World

ABOUT ME

I love my family, my friends, my city and my church.

I'm an active guy who likes to jog or gym, but I'm also pretty good at drinking coffee or the alcoholic beverage of your choice.

PHILOSOPHY

Take in the small things.
Live simply.
Love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the personal insights afforded by couch surfing, and prefer to use it for accommodation when abroad or interstate.
I really enjoy hosting. When I can, I am a tour-guide for my guests- I love to get to know people from around the world and understand their points of view.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After years of crashing at friends' houses, I took it to the world. Went all around Europe, and now America and had a ball. Now it's your turn! I'm grateful to my mate who introduced me to the site all those years ago.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movie soundtracks and I listen to top 40, but I'm pretty cool with anything. I especially like live music.
I haven't actually been to a cinema in months but I like the classics.
I'm currently wading through a few of the books I studied in high school again, as well as non-fiction for my job (I'm such a nerd) and some recent best-sellers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Big call. I've climbed Mt. Sinai to watch the dawn, I've spent a month hiking the Way of St. James, I've hiked through Sweden with my life on my back, I've lived in a small country town and visited some of the biggest cities in the world. I've spent three months living with Palestinians and a weekend in New York.
I've spent evenings with heart-broken people, I've watered my garden, I've had dinner with my family, I've spent hundreds of hours watching the darkness from a train window.
One amazing thing? Life is full of them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hate to toot my own horn- ask me when we're face to face.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll always come with a bottle of wine and a few stories. I'll even do the washing up afterwards.
