ABOUT ME

sometimes there really aren't any words. i'm a million different things every minute. some days i'm a film maker, which has opened my eyes to a whole new world of creativity and wonder. through a camera you see things in a new light. i'm fascinated by the lives of other people, their experiences, stories and ideas. i love movies and music of any type, and I'm open to new suggestions. i can hardly make it a full day without a cup of coffee. i love the smell of honeysuckles in the summer and snow in the winter. i wear flip flops even in the cold. i wish i had my own theme song that played every time I walked down the street. i believe you have to eat the fortune cookie before reading the fortune for it to come true (they never do). i love listening to the rain at night. I love jumping in mud puddles. i've been to an actual rain forest. Misspelled words bother me deeply. i have a large collection of stuffed penguins and books I've never read. i would love to make music videos for a living. i find a song to remind me of every good moment in my life. i have it pretty well made. i'm still growing and learning about myself, so when i die, and know then who i was, i might finish filling out this box. and when it's filled out, i hope it says i let my bright light shine and not let my flame blow out.

this was actually a new year's resolution. imagine resolving to sleep on someone's couch. ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

-hosting, hosting, hosting with a bit of surfing on the side.

i've had the pleasure of meeting fellow CSers who i know will be with me until my last breath. distance is just a line on a map, and these friendships have proven it. we've maxed out calling plans, credit cards and frequent flyer miles just to share our joy together. that's a love that will never fade away.

Interests

i'm passionate about all forms of art- painting, photography, filming, everything! i love interviewing people on camera, because i think there's something special that comes out only then. i love seeing the sun rise and seeing it set again. i'm passionate about animals. i'm addicted to the show "lost." i have strange, nerdy celebrity crushes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-the crazy, spontaneous wedding and the rumors that still is Tent Surf '09, and will always be.

-a few years ago i went swimming in a small pond in a rainforest. i had never seen nature so pure and untouched. it's almost indescribable. i'll stop here before i ruin it with words.

-walking barefoot through logan canyon and feeling the cool water and the smooth rocks under my feet, and watching the fish swim along side me. in that moment, i realized the simplicity and beauty in life.

Teach, Learn, Share

i'm a pretty good film maker and a great cook. i'm also a hip hop dancer.

i'd love to learn another language and how to play guitar, though i admit, i'm a bad learner. :)
