ABOUT ME
I'm a explorer at heart and find it hard to settle down though some day I may have to if I want a house full of rug rats :)
I have some Spanish roots, my father was from Oviedo and met my mother while she was living in Spain centuries ago, and through immaculate conception I am here today, ole' I grew up in Madison Wisconsin, a small city of about 300k about three hours north of Chicago and had a pretty normal childhood, if one can call any period of youth normal. A little strange sometimes as my name has always been "Carlos" being that some Americans think that this was my latino gang name.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat others as you would have them treat you, especially strangers. Never judge a book by the cover in this case, though we all do I try to negate this. Try to be in balance with nature, it enhances life so much. Enjoy life, don't get too caught up in your own stupid egoisms.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm pretty new to this, I will do whatever I can within reason to help all in need.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Throughout my many travels I have been lucky in the sense that I have received the hospitality of friends and strangers all over the world. I have always helped when i could others in need as they have helped me.
Interests
Music, is part of my soul and it's nourishment and can't live without it. Also love hisory and chatting with others about it, as well as learning from others. I love architecture, it says so much about a culture. I love Brazilian culture and almost married a Paulista, pretty strong stuff! Love audio gear and audio geeks. I love being outside, something i do miss about the US is nature and having so much of it abundantly surrounding you.

Music, Movies, and Books
So many, Joys & Sorrows Pablo Casals inspired me. Burnt by the sun, a masterpiece russian film that I never forget. The Good Bad and the Ugly, the epitomy of a Western, and c'mon, it's Clint! The Illusionist. The Forgotten Soldier, Guy Sajer was an autobigraphy that touched me. Full Metal Jacket - there's a little warrior inside of me that likes that stuff. The Rings - I did play D&D...a little;) Excalubur - the 1981 version is another masterpiece http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pylGJO6I30M
Of course many others and I will add when I have more time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sat in the top of an aircraft carrier in the middle of the Indian Ocean hearing and feeling the ocean. Witnessed many amazing vistas in nature, some almost spiritual. Hitch-hiked through Yugoslavia in 91 during the start of the civil war. Sat in a waterfall in the coast of Brazil withnone for miles. Many more to come.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyone has a story to tell, many so interesting yet sometimes difficult to find. My philosophy is Do unto others... if you neglect you will be neglected. If you love, you will be loved.
