About Me

Hi! I was born in Cork, Ireland, and lived there most of my life until leaving for my travels in October 2019! I'm an instructor of sailing, kayaking, powerbaoting and windsurfing, andnassistant climbing instructor; I studied Applied Psychology in Cork, and spent two years studying the Autism Spectrum as well. Can't really decide where my passion is I spose!
I love music, live gigs are the best, I adore festivals and try to get to them as much as I can. I do a lot of circus performing for fun - namely hula hoop, staff and acro - and would like to work this into my festival attendance and start legitimately performing at festivals! I've been known to fell the occasional tree as well...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love love love travelling, and when I lived in California for 6 months I met some wonderful people through Couchsurfing meet ups. Currently travelling through North America on my way to New Zealand and want to meet awesome folk along the way 🙂

Music, Movies, and Books

Wouldn't even know where to start... And I'd have to change it next month anyway

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed a tall ship from Plymouth UK to Cork Ireland in August 2019, most wonderful experience of my life, it's what I'd like to do with the rest of it if possible!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people how to Irish Dance!! And how to better understand and interact with people with autism & special needs if interested. I know some fun drinking games :) and spent several years as a bartender so I make a meeeeeean cocktail! And I can teach all about Ireland and Irish history and culture - in the 6 weeks since I arrived in the US I've realised just how much I have to share!
I've trained for years in hula hooping and more recently in bo staff and acrobatics/hand balancing, and am more than happy to share this knowledge with anyone who's interested as well! It's fun to play!!
I also can teach skills in kayaking, sailing, climbing or windsurfing - though some outside equipment is sort of necessary :P
And in turn I love to learn about the history and culture of people here, there is such diversity in backgrounds and heritage, it's a really interesting change from home!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My driving skills (if they can be used), my cooking skills, my mixing skills, my enthusiasm!! And my forcefulness if you need encouragement to get up and atom :)
