About Me

Been living in the Philippines for the last year working with a non-profit organization rescuing children from human trafficking. It has been the most difficult/rewarding/developing experience of my entire life.
I've been a devout Christian for over 15 years but have really started questioning everything over the course of the last year starting with really trying to grasp the suffering of those that are in the worst forms of human trafficking.
Anyway, it has all left me very open minded and I'm hoping to learn anything and everything I can from whoever will allow me the opportunity and hopefully I'll have a chance to teach a few things as well :)
I'm a fun guy to be around and will do just about anything...which sometimes get's me in trouble but to date has always been worth it. I don't smoke or do drugs and I only drink occasionally if it means bonding time!
More than anything I love and miss my friends and my family and am continually baffled as to why I would end up with so many amazing people in my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My year is officially up with the organization I've been working with and I want to travel around Asia a bit before I move back home and seeing as how I've been living as a missionary I don't have a bunch of money for the travel hence this wonderful community of couches.

Music, Movies, and Books

Whatever the cool stuff that my friends are listening too. I'm really digging Imagine Draggons and Fun right now and my all time fav's are probably City and Colour and Deathcab/PS

Into the Wild, Cinderella man, The Princess Bride, Cone Heads, Watchmen, Guardians of the Galaxy, Sherlock Holmes, Spirited Away, Shaolin Soccer, pacific Rim...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed an untouched mountain in the Rockys and gorged myself on the freshest raspberries the world has ever produced.

Teach, Learn, Share

Woah, there's a teach section...I was just typing about this in my about me section; serendipity! Wow, the pressure is on...hmmm, important things for me over the course of the last year (they will sound simple but there would never be a way I could express how profoundly life altering these truths as realized have been to me). Adversity introduces a man to himself; accept your failures and your faults and know that you're still worthwhile; there's probably never any black and white just a thousand shades in between so find balance; You are your own and no one else's and that is an amazing thing.
