ABOUT ME

After about a 9 year hiatus from couch surfing, I am back to being active on here again!! I have started a family and unable to host anyone in my home at this time but can be a valuable resource for local information so do not hesitate to contact me.

Love living and smiling. I work hard and play hard. I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, and biking, camping, fishing, and hunting. I love good food, good music, cold beer, sleeping, reading, and just plain love to love.

Would enjoy hearing someone share experiences or dreams of traveling anywhere and everywhere. Would love to listen to old souls talk about the best food they have had and where they had it. Would love to share music and thoughts with soulful and hip characters I will never forget. Love to sit and share life with like-minded people.

PHILOSOPHY

People can, and should, do ANYTHING they like or want in the world, to fulfill every dream and fantasy, as long as their actions do not negatively effect anyone else.

The mountains are my church, and bob marley and john coltrane are my preachers.

I sincerely hope to be able to be a powerful resource to visitors and help make peoples time in Alaska a little better, or at least easier. I really look forward to my future travels and the prospect of meeting new friends through this site.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been surfing couches my whole life!!!!!!!!!!!! And have been offering up my couch as long as I have had one! Through this community, I have hosted a bunch of people, stayed with a few, and met dozens. All of whom I am now friends with and stay in touch with.

Interests

Outdoors lifestyle. not a granola muncher or tree hugger. Just love to be alone in the woods, on a mountain, at a river, or even on the ocean. I never take for granted the slightest glimpse of a sun rise, and never waste an opportunity to have fresh air on my skin. I enjoy reading very much, and listen to music constantly. And I always eat wonderfully. I enjoy cooking and eating so much, if I did not get out of the house to play all the time, I would weigh four hundred pounds.

Music, Movies, and Books

My deep love of music resides in jazz and blues. But I also get down to Latin, funk, soul, gospel, classical, bluegrass, and a little bit of a lot of others.

Lately I have been watching "Alone in the Wilderness" over and over. It inspires me to no end.

I just finished up all of Dostoevsky, and am currently reading some Tolstoy. I love Herman Hesse, read his complete works. Alighieri, Voltaire, Jack London, Steinway, Twain, Plath, Tom Robbins, and so many more than I could possibly list here. Reading provides me with endless vacations while stuck at work.
