I am currently researching the Literature Review portion of my Graduate Thesis. My thesis aims to better define and conceptualize the notions of resiliency and empowerment. The methodologies I am using are qualitative and include Grounded Theory and Foucauldian Discourse Analysis. My key focus is Subject Positioning within discourses (very similar to standpoint theory) and the personal and cultural discursive resources individuals and groups employ to reposition themselves as subjects within discourses.

I am very athletic, read widely, and and a very solid writer (both prose and technical.

I have a lengthy background in community development, social services, education, advocacy, and resource development.
