ABOUT ME
I like new things: new people, new places, new ideas, new adventures. I don't like feeling stuck, trapped, like I'm going nowhere.
I like playing the piano and talking, about the world, about physics, philosophy, people, music, anything really. I like people and climbing and physics and cycling and exploring the natural environment and ultimate frisbee.
I like tolerance and fairness, understanding and openness, seeking the truth maybe. I'm very non-judgemental. But I don't like intolerance or people that have closed their minds, their hearts or their ears.
I also like chocolate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used to write that I was an "evangelical surfer" but people kept getting confused about what I meant, so now I would say I like to evangelise about couchsurfing (feel free to ask if it's still not clear!). Currently I'm a part-time hoster that wishes they could host more...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Five months of travelling and surfing, hosting when I can. Occasional coffee and drinks and other such meeting. Couchsurfing represents my aspirations for the way the world should be: a global community based on trust, honesty, reciprocity, generosity, optimism and a sharing of all the good things in life. Above all it is about meeting some of the very best people I´ve had the fortune to spend time with; people that have changed my worldview, that constantly renew my faith in humanity and are rolemodels for ways to live well - thoughtfully, compassionately, meaningfully - wherever you are. Long live the couchsurfing revolution.
Interests
Books, films, playing the piano, rock climbing, ultimate frisbee and physics. Talking about things. Singing to myself on the street. Next year I'm going to learn to ride a motorbike. I said this last year too. But this time, I swear...

Music, Movies, and Books
Far too many to list, I mean, do you know how many great movies, books and pieces of music there are in the World?
Oh well, here are some that anyway:
Of Mice and Men, The God of Small Things, Steppenwolf, Great Expectations, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Henderson the Rain King, Love in the Time of Cholera, All Quiet on the Western Front, The Master and Margarita, Kafka on the Shore, The Trial, On the Road, The Prophet, Crime and Punishment, Anna Karenina, Catch 22......
Music? Films? I honestly don't know where to start. Best film of the last few years was Boyhood, no matter what the Oscars say. And some artists that I return to time and time again: Josh Ritter, James, Frightened Rabbit, The Indigo Girls, Nick Drake, The Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks (I do live in the U.S., after all), Van Morrison's Astral Weeks, Taylor Swift, almost anything by Bach for keyboard.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, studying in California, hiking in New Zealand, couchsurfing Mongolia. Living in Salt Lake City is pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
The piano, juggling, how to do long division, climbing, even how to throw a frisbee. Would like to learn French properly, but struggle because I get embarrassed. I like to think I can do a bit of maths if the mood takes me. It doesn't often.
