About Me

Started school later in life. I worked for airlines and travel agencies for over 7 years before going to school. This afforded me the opportunity to travel. I was able to travel around at a moments notice...which is the best way to travel.

One time I flew with a friend to Paris for a day. We had no hotel reserved. We literally walked into the first hotel and got a room. That trip was interesting. Although Paris needs much more than 1 day to experience the trip was worth the $80 ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing allows me to meet new individuals and bring people into my life I would have never otherwise met.

Interests

I love learning languages and cultures. I enjoy seeing how a language and culture collide. Had I not become a social worker I probably would have wanted to become a linguist, or perhaps a statistician. Either way, taking that which appears to be random and exploring it to reveal wealth of information is exciting.

Non-academic interests are traveling, commercial aircraft, reading a good book, and hanging out with interesting people that can teach me new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The Big Lebowski, Woman in Gold, 500 Days of Summer, Sunshine of the Spotless Mind...to name a few.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have a lot of stories if people want to hear them :)

Once in Japan I lost my passport 2 days before my flight home.....the embassy trip was interesting...not so much amazing as it is ridiculous ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy teaching others how to live in the moment and meditate. I am no Master by any means, but still fun to share.

Countries I’ve Visited

Barbados, Belgium, France, Germany, Japan, Scotland, Switzerland
