Overview
About Me
Idle news: Currently moving places. Will be updating soon.
On with the blabbery!
Free-spirited, genuine, and always active are some of my best attributes. Carpe diem! I'm passionate about rock climbing, making useful stuff out of junk, finding/creating great food, reading books, and listening to radiolab. I like to set goals and work on a lot of projects all the time. So there's always something interesting going on in my garage or workshop.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me it's all about the connections. I want to meet the people and visitors of Madison. I believe community living and sharing bring more beauty into your life if you embrace them. Some things I do to form connections: I host a lot of summer BBQ and bonfires. I also like to adventure out and take trips to new places on my motorcycle. I'm comfortable making camp just about anywhere and socializing with others of an open mind.
What my guests should expect:
To trust and be trusted.
To be open and true.
To not be judged.
To share and enjoy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Organized a GlobalFest on my college campus for 15,000 undergrad and 8,000 grad students. It was so fun to see my residents' children learning about diversity and experiencing cultures from across the world.
One Wisconsin winter I had my first experience with winter camping. I tested out my -40 sleeping bag and hammock bivy. It got down to -25 and windy. But I stayed mostly warm and endured! Only experienced one night but I'd like to take the knowledge I learned to put it to use on a mountainside some day..
Teach, Learn, Share
Skills for leather, wood, archery, climbing. I'm a handy-man. And I can cook...pretty much anything. Try me.
Camping skills: making a fire, best ways to cook in the outdoors, how to use gear properly and what gear will last.
I'd like to learn surfing, trad climbing, skydiving, mountain guiding, how to get out of debt to accomplish my dreams.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Our neighborhood is friendly and quiet. If you have a bike, Madison is right outside the door; about 20 min slow ride to the square. Close to trails and parks and many museums downtown. Bi-monthly food group: Mad Pizza Tour. Check us out on FB.
My patio area is great for chilling and grilling. My speaker system is yours to blast delightful tunes.
