EDIT: After a 5 years break, we are back at hosting :)

We are Clio and Joao, a Greek–Portuguese couple living in Sitia, Crete.

We used to travel and couchsurf a lot before becoming parents, and Couchsurfing has been a big part of our lives.

After our wedding, we left everything behind and traveled the world for a year. Since then, life changed in beautiful ways: we now have two children (born in 2019 and 2022) and a very sweet dog named Trufa.
We miss meeting people from different cultures and sharing everyday life stories. Hosting feels like a natural way to bring a bit of that traveling spirit back into our home.

We enjoy nice conversations around the dinner table, good food, and meaningful exchanges. Our home is calm, family-oriented and respectful, and we are happy to host people who feel comfortable in a house with kids.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

We live with two young children and a dog, so our home is very lively , but not a party place. We are best matched with travelers who enjoy family homes and understand flexible schedules.

We would also be more than happy to host Couchsurfing families.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from different countries, exchange stories and perspectives, and keep a small window to the world open from our home in Crete.

Travel changed us deeply, and even though we travel less now, we still believe in connection, sharing and human encounters beyond tourism.
