About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To begin exploring foreign and intimidating places
ABOUT ME
I'm a nice, excited, nerdy dude! Most of my free time is spent drawing pictures, reading, riding bikes, and preparing delicious morsels to eat. I've recently started heading out of town on my own for essentially the first time in my life in order to research colleges and get a little further out of my comfort zone. I'm eager to explore unfamiliar regions, and inevitably meet the unfamiliar kinds of people who live there.
PHILOSOPHY
I've been thinking a lot lately on the balance of analysis and action in my pursuits. My philosophy probably centers around fixing an imbalance I've been experiencing in thinking conceptually and analytically versus being a man of action who acts and produces constantly. I have, for most of my life, been in the former category, but am currently trying find the middle ground.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hard to say (I'm very new here). I suppose I'd like to generally take part in the exchange of experiences and knowledge from across cities, states and countries (if not from between genders, size, or color)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'll tell you next week. Seriously!

Music, Movies, and Books
Film Noir, Samurai movies, Westerns, and other things that are good.
Talking Heads is a good band. And WHY, too!
I liked Cat's Cradle a whole lot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Exploring the decrepit ghost towns in Death Valley was an other worldly experience. Growing up on movies lead me to think that places like that had been some largely fictitious exaggeration, but there they were, seeming as alien and ancient as mayan ruins.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm eager to talk visual media with anyone who's willing. Architecture, advertising, television, print, aesthetics, film, fashion: it's a consuming interest for me.
