About Me

I'm a happy laid-back person, I enjoy good conversation, hanging out with warm and lovely people. I've traveled a lot, and spent a lot of past few years travelling/living in Spain. I'm about to return to my old university city of Brighton as have very luckily been awarded a funded place to do a doctorate in social anthropology, investigating dementia care in andalucia, feeling really excited to get started with a new project... and also looking forward to coming back to my faveourite UK city and hoping to meet new and interesting new friends as well as re-connect with old ones...looking for a place to stay for a week or 2 (though imagine id split this over 2 couchsurfer hosts so as not to overtwhile I get setup with a flat. I love cooking, making loads of foods to share with friends is one of my faveourite ways to pass my time...i also like reading, playing the flute, listening to reggae, folk, and some electronic music when i go out...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a fantastic way to meet new people and for me its a perfect way to travel or in my case to come to a new city and find your feet...

ive never actually been a 'surfer' ive only ever hosted people, but i made fantastic friends from doing this and so im really excited and up for potentially staying in a nice house share in brighton whilst i look for a place for myself that allows me to make friends with new people...

Interests

reggae reggae reggae and music of all kinds really- dancing about to it and trying to play various instruments badly, writing, coooooking lots and lots of different foooods, travelling the world, beach beach sea sea sea, walking in the moutains, hoop hoop hooping, anthropology...new hobby is learning spanish...going to sunny festivals and chatting about random shit that i will forget the next day with people i may well never meet again but that feels like we're making earth shatterring conclusions with every corner the coversation takes...
