CURRENT MISSION
Creating adventure and community
ABOUT ME
Seeking adventures, in new places and old... I enjoy exploring neighborhoods, natural areas, and historical landmarks. I love to see how other people live, learn what matters to them, and get to know them. I do not want to be a tourist, I want to be a traveler.
While on vacation I read, ponder and write, as well as exercise, dance and go out.
Others describe me as easy-going and intellectually curious. I draw joy from friendship, meaningful work and play. In the past few years, I've gotten into baking bread, bicycling and bike mechanics, meditation and gardening. I currently work for an environmental nonprofit, where I've been for almost 4 years.
I wouldn't feel right if I were not respectful of other people's things and neighbors and am willing to consider any requests you have while I am staying in your place.
PHILOSOPHY
Be yourself, in the present, with the people you care about.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new to couchsurfing but have been an ongoing host for many years for friends, family and others outside the couchsurfing scene. Many of my friends are involved in couchsurfing and I've comfortably crashed on floors, futons, couches, etc. when the occasion arises.
Interests
Being outdoors, exploring new places, learning a new craft, sharing ideas, riding and fixing bicycles, dancing, gardening, warm nights, dark chocolate, pungent cheese, the unconventional, and baking bread.

Teach, Learn, Share
I am happy to teach what I know about bread baking, bicycle mechanics, gardening, and sustainability subjects.
I'd like to learn about photography, graphic design, spirituality (what it means to you), and bad words in other languages :)
