Overview
About Me
I grew up in Denver, Colorado, but have lived in California since 1987.
I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry until last year, when I was laid off. While I have time, I will be traveling, seeing the country and meeting people.
Usually, I spend my time riding my bike, rowing, arguing with political conservatives and eating Cap'n Crunch cereal.
I love being outdoors, listening to music, and being active.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like the idea of sharing our scarce resources. I want to break down barriers, and share what I have.
I am tired of the motel/hotel scene. Rather than isolate myself in a hotel room, I want to meet people when I travel.
Interests
My interests are quite wide... I love history, music and art. I can't hang with reality television, however.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love most music except top 40, disco or anything with banjo, harmonica, harp or ukulele.
I like geeky stuff like Star Trek, but also like Shakespeare.
Last book: Bukowski's Post Office
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I raised two fantastic daughters! In the realm of human accomplishment, it's a thoroughly mundane activity, but nothing has given me more joy and happiness.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to fix things... If something's broken, let me have a look and maybe I can help.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A positive attitude, a quirky sense of humor, and a willingness to share. I make a good chili, and a delicious lemon caesar salad dressing.
