ABOUT ME

I grew up in the suburbs of Tokyo and spent three years of my elementary school years in Hong Kong. I've been living in the states since the last year of High School, mostly in Texas. I love traveling but never been to Europe/South America. It's a working progress. I used to cut hair for living. Currently I am on a break, playing house wife at home and volunteering part-time at hospitals.

Other than traveling and meeting new people, I love reading, listening to music, cooking (esp. ethnic cooking), going outdoor (camping, hiking, marathon, triathlon, mountain biking, surfing, snowboarding, scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, tennis, baseball, golfing... anything active!), and lastly, I like to dress up and go out sometimes =) I am a social drinker. I do NOT smoke.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I start from where I can. I love cooking and eating . So my wish is to make many global friends through yummy food =) If you get a chance to stay at my place when my schedule is relaxed, you'll be treated to delicious home cooking! My husband is supportive of the CS idea and loved having our first surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am still a newbie but experienced both hosting and being hosted. They both turned out to be awesome experiences! I will keep forwarding the kindness I received while traveling...

Music = Linkin Park, Evanescence, Paparoach, Greenday, Norah Jones, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Beatles, Abba, Bread and Butter, Carpenters, Hall and Oats, Mary J, Craig David, Laurin Hill, Journey, Hoobastank, Alicia Keys, Michelle Branch, Oasis, The Police, Bob-Marley, Shakira, and many other international singers.

Movies = I like two kinds of movies. Inspiring and motivational movies that are meaningful. Also movies with good humors and life lessons in them. Ones I dislike are mostly horror movies, war movies and wasteful comedy.

Books = I like all sorts of books but my favorites are Atlas, poem books, self-biographies, travel books and medical non-fictions. When it comes to mystery, I like James Patterson's women detective series.

I can teach Japanese and English to those who are learning those languages. I love sharing recipes of different home cooking. I also like learning about the jobs that people do for living.
