About Me

[TRAVELING AROUND IN 2019 - I HOPE TO HOST AGAIN AT MY NEW HOME IN 2020!]

I would describe myself as adventurous, caring, and joyful. Traveling is my favorite activity--long road trips with good friends are the best. I also enjoy dance parties, hula hooping, and late-night political / philosophical conversations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My faith in humanity has been restored by communities like Couchsurfing. There is nothing more beautiful than opening up your home to someone you have never met before to share your life and culture. I have met some pretty amazing people through Couchsurfing, and have nothing but good things to say about my CS experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I'm a fiend for documentaries, but love a good comedy or drama. The Wire is probably my favorite series, with Eternal Sunshine / Natural Born Killers tied for my favorite movie.

Music: I LOVE MUSIC - from Nina Simone to Bad Religion to MF Doom. I've danced on stage with Ween and broke my ankle at a Dead Kennedys show. I used to sing with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra chorus and did backup vocals in a band called Funk-Sway. Let's talk!

Books: Hunter S. Thompson, Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Wolfe, a variety of novels and books on US politics / policy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking solo around Peru and Bolivia for six weeks. Hardest and most rewarding experience of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I fancy myself a pretty good cook, and LOVE to share food. Let me cook for you!

I have backpacked around Colorado and can share great camping and hiking spots, as well as lesser-known fun spots to check out in Denver.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversation, hiking companion, dance or karaoke partner.
