ABOUT ME

Moved to Peru for work, so learning everything I can about the country (and the language). Absolutely love travelling the world and learning about different places. Whenever I get the opportunity for some time off I take the chance to go and visit somewhere new to see as much of the world as I can in my life. I love talking to all types of people. Currently fighting through real life after a previous job gave me lots of travelling. I love being able to go places and spend time meeting and getting to know people and what a real life is like for them, be that hiking in the mountains or over a couple of drinks.

I am a relaxed and outgoing individual who enjoys the company of all walks of life. I enjoy the outdoors, hiking and rock climbing being my favourite but always up for trying anything new as well as a few quiet drinks. People I like are those who have something about themselves and want to share something. I personally enjoy meeting new people and enjoy a little bit of everything!

I'll eat almost anything going, and try most things at least once!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have traveled around parts of America, Europe and Middle East with couchsurfing and opened my place up whilst I was at university. Looking forward to paying forward all the friendliness I received by hosting and meeting people in Lima.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Travelled through Cuba, America France, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey and Georgia where I was either hosted or met up with surfers. I traveled with a couple of Polish surfers from Turkey to Georgia.

Also had the joy of meeting up with my first surfer when I went to America, and able to meet some travel buddies when I went there too. This is a great community to keep in touch with.

Interests

Interested in seeing anything new about a place or culture. I enjoy most active sports, anything that gives a thrill! I enjoy rugby and played for a couple of years, though I don't follow any team in particular. I also enjoy taking time out to read a good book. Almost anything oudoors and active, i`ve had a blast mountain biking, as well as a great interest in the history and culture of any place i visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

Band of Brothers, LoTR and usually anything with action really. Or comedy, my favourite comedian is Michael McIntyre!
Music is a mish mash; I like Bob Marley, David Guetta, Cold Chisel, a lot of the chart music too. Stated to like some of the US country stuff too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crossing the border into Kurdistan.

Hitch-hiking for a week around Europe and meeting some amazing people along the way

Completed my first Half Marathon

you can trust most people, and a little honesty goes a long way. and the best question to ask in every situation is "why?" otherwise you're unlikely to fully understand it.

Have a basic grasp of Arabic (Gulf) so want to improve on that.

I can also make you a classic English tea - i'm travelling with tea bags!!

Keen to learn Spanish.
