ABOUT ME

I'm a 23 year-old student from the West Coast of Canada where it's rainy and windy, but amazing! I've enjoyed travelling since I was young during my first trip to Europe. I like to learn new languages, new cultures and new perspectives on things I've taken for granted.

I've been described as empathetic, understanding, patient, fun-loving and intelligent. I like developing friendships with a deeper, meaningful connection (in other words, that exceeds small talk). I like feeling like there are no barriers between me and my close friends; we can share our triumphs and our shame without fear of being judged.

I enjoy discussing respectfully subjects such as politics, religion and culture. I appreciate how each person's perspective is different and it's presumptuous to judge who is right and who is wrong.

I travel in order to meet people. Travel puts me in a context of flexibility and uncertainty, which I use to learn as much as possible from the experiences and relationships developed during my trip.

I'm a very low-maintenance guest. I would be happy sleeping on a carpet and going to the bathroom in an outhouse. My only requirement is to not be fed peanuts because I have a mild allergy. Though, I am very interested in helping out if I can and sharing my culture if others are interested.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a journey of learning and discovery through our experiences and our interactions with other people. We don't know where we are going and it's not that important. What's important is to enjoy the journey and live it to it's utmost.

I have no permanent residence at the moment, so I'm only surfing now. When I finish school, I hope to host as well.

Every year I look back at myself from the year before and think : "Wow! You were an idiot!" This makes me happy because it means I'm learning a lot from year to year. I hope I never stop doing this my entire life.
