ABOUT ME

I am a 25-year-old settling in to being a real adult! I am a music teacher and can't imagine being much else but I would love to teach abroad at some point in my career. My main instrument is the flute. I love doing volunteer work, and have gone on a number of trips around the USA and to Tanzania. I loved living in TZ so much... I hope I can get back there soon! I love meeting new people and discovering new things!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a bit of a nerd... I love Star Trek TOS, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Harry Potter (but the books only). My favorite musical piece is the Music for the Royal Fireworks suite by Handel but I love all kinds of baroque and classical pieces, especially flute pieces that I can play!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going on safari in Ruaha, Tanzania may have been the most awesome thing I've ever done abroad... and conducting my band in front of Lincoln Center was definitely one of my crowning moments as a new teacher here in the US of A. I recently took students to Nicaragua to help build an orphanage which was an amazing experience!
