About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To break out of the bubble and experience life unrestricted by cultural norms and my own personal barriers

ABOUT ME

My passion for traveling began when I was a top junior tennis player traveling across the US. Now my life is dedicated to the pursuit of a medical degree. My life has really centered around tennis and my education.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is summed up by one quote by Emerson, "To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded"

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all music EXCEPT for country. I'll start my day with 3 cups of coffee and a shot of espresso listening to Lady Gaga, Akon, and Black Eyed Peas (fun, not good music). It motivates me to start my day. By the end of the day I'll be listening to John Mayor, The Boss (Springsteen), Dave Matthews, John Butler Trio, Eric Clapton. Im not a music connoisseur, but I can recognize good and fun music from crap. My book interests very from month to month from the classics like Catcher in the Rye to Andre Agassi's biography. Stemming from my interest in medicine, I like to read memoirs written from medical residents in their early years. It solidifies my interest in medicine to know others have similar self-doubts in the face of complications.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was walking through a forest in Tanzania and stumbled upon 3 huge elephants. I was face to face with a buffer zone of 15 feet. One of the elephants charged me and I narrowly escaped behind a tree.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you biochemistry and laboratory assays, but why would you want to know about that?
