Change and growth.
ABOUT ME
Hi! I am a person who has been through many strange and varied things. I was raised a Quaker. I just recently decided to update my profile, and everything still seems pretty relevant. I just finished up a diploma of fine craft in metal arts at NBCCD, and am moving up to Toronto! I will be needing some places to stay with my cat, most likely, for a short span of time in August, until I get settled.
PHILOSOPHY
I try not to take anything personally, and I try not to make assumptions.
I don't believe in blame or revenge.
Appreciate everything.
Everything is everything, what is meant to be will be.
And I believe that anything is possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My roommate and I used to host a long time ago, and I have just begun to participate myself. I see it as the beginning of a long and beautiful relationship.
Interests
- I write songs and enjoy playing open mics and making up ditties with people.
- I love biking. So very much.
- I love discussing mind-bending topics such as the nature of reality. I love science fiction. I love star trek. Aaaaaahhhh.
- Whales are majestic.
- I like playing outside (hula hooping, poi spinning, etc)
- I really like Anime. But good Anime. There is so much variety and so much crap out there that I felt I needed to specify.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some favourite movies:
- Amelie
- The Royal Tennenbaums
- Spirited Away
- Natural Born Killers
- Get Him To The Greek
- Donnie Darko
- Paprika
- The Notebook (I'm a sap)
- Waking Life
etc....
Music: Anything from A Tribe Called Quest to Kate Bush and back, making a stop in Shpongleland. Also much folky shite. On a pretty hardcore Lucinda Williams kick at the moment. She really rocks. Really far too much to name.
Books: I'm a huge fan of hard science fiction a la Star Trek (Robert J. Sawyer is a fav- I loved Starplex) and cold mind-bending sci-fi (Philip K. Dick par exemple). I'm also a big fan of Oryx and Crake and Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood, another fav is American Gods by Neil Gaiman ... I tried to read the classics but got bored. Also one of my favourite books ever is a book no one has ever heard of. It's called Deus Ex Machina by J. V. Brummels. I do not hold out hope of ever finding another copy (I lost mine). I'm also a huge Douglas Adams fan.

Teach, Learn, Share
I am really interested in learning more about natural medicines. I'm also interested in learning about Native American spirituality.
I can teach you pretty much anything about musical theory. Or metal arts. Or drawing. I can teach you how to play the ukelele, guitar, clarinet, or piano.
