Hi everybody! It’s Valentina, from Italy!

I was an au pair for a year (2019) and spent my last month in the US solo-traveling and couchsurfing. It was the best experience of my life, I got to meet many wonderful people that were ready to give love and care to someone they crossed their path with. It’s something that astounds me in an amazing way and gave me so much positive energy and love for humanity in general. There are such beautiful souls out there! ✨

I enjoy to meet new people from different cultures and learn as much as I can from them. I think diversity is a great gift from which we can learn to be open minded and see the world from different perspectives. 🌍🌏🪐

My favorite thing to do is to explore and let my senses experience new things; I can’t get enough of it!
I always need to get out of my little town in the North of Italy and go somewhere. It doesn’t matter where. Just GO! 🎒 During my trips I also improved my packing skills so now I’m able to stay out for a month with only a backpack... Bare necessities!
I like to plan my itineraries but also wander and get lost and find things I didn’t plan to find. Just following the flow.

I LOVE eating and I’m getting better in cooking. My favorites are of course pizza & pasta, but I also adore tacos, pad thai, ramen, fried chicken, and a bunch of other dishes!
I have a thing for food trucks and for Boba tea. 💘
But I got a problem with seafood, I swear I’m doing my best for this.

I get bored easily so I always need to be active doing something. Going to concerts (I basically listen to any kind of good music depending on the circumstances, but I’ve been enjoying indie rock music lately). Hiking. Dancing! Painting and drawing and doing ceramics. Creating in general. Going to museums. The beach as much as the mountains and the city. Swimming at the sunset. Go shopping. Eat on the couch. The sun. Easy going and positive people 🌞.

I believe that the meaning of life is to enjoy it, to have fun respecting each other and without taking it seriously.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I’m on couchsurfing because I love to travel much more often than what I can afford. Also it seems the perfect and easiest way to experience a place like a local would do, and meet new people with their own culture and way of living. Which is something I really love cause I feel richer every time.
