ABOUT ME

I was originally from Hong Kong before I went to Pittsburgh for college. Later I worked in a hedge fund in Chicago and eventually I decided to go to medical school instead. Currently I have some time before medical school starts so I am thinking of travelling before I get too busy, and a bit of googling led me here!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in DC (3/18/2010-3/22/2010), met some great people along the way which turned out to be the highlights of my trip! Great hosts, a lot of positive experiences. Many thanks to Missy, Eric, Will and Nathaly!
Couchsurfed in Columbus (7/15/2010) during my move from Chicago to Charlottesville. Great meeting Ting and Rick :)

Interests

I'm interested in a lot of things. Reading, cooking and long-distance running have been some of the things I enjoy lately. I also enjoy taking pictures, although I am only an amateur. In general I enjoy learning by reading and by talking to people :)

Some of the things I love:

- seeing how people care for each other unrequitedly
- enjoying real good food

- taking a shower after running some 13 miles

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing things I have done in my life:
- ran a marathon in under 4 hrs, losing 20 lbs during the training
- bought a Wii on Amazon with a greasemonkey script to alert me when it's in stock

Teach, Learn, Share

I can speak fluent English and Chinese; I can make a couple of easy Chinese and non-Chinese dishes, as long as they are cost-efficient and healthy to make; I am learning Spanish and had learnt a bit of Japanese before; I have lived in Hong Kong, Pittsburgh, Nagoya and Chicago so I can tell you my experiences about those places.
