About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Only stop sailing long enough to earn enough fun tokens to go sailing again 😊

ABOUT ME

Easy going, energetic and friendly.
I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds/countries and learn new things about other cultures.
Yet to grow up, however, I'm closer to having the eternal wisdom of the great zen master Maximus Theobromine, who once said "good dark chocolate is wasted on the mouths of hasty youth. Tis not till we age like hard cheese, mellow like fine pinot noir in French oak do we truly grasp the value of time spent with at least 70% cocoa solids". I may have dreamt that saying actually, as a way to justify my state of physical age, but it's still valid right?

I love a good laugh, music, eating well, cooking, story telling, getting out and about the national parks we have!

PHILOSOPHY

Be free and respect everyone for who they are and what that offers us to learn. Resist capitalism, don't trap yourself with material things, make memories and learn to love yourself properly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So FYI, I'm not hosting big parties or people who like to get ragged and make a mess! I'm easy going and therefore only like minded great people are invited. Serenity and joy is the vibe here.

I enjoy hosting to hear the travel stories, wisdom and vitality of my guests. I also joined to stay with hosts overseas, which has always been amazing for me.

Interests

Being in the ocean, inner child work, spearfishing, surfing, swimming, sail boat racing, my family and mates, my nieces, wood work, healthy local foods, clear blue water, cooking seafood, new music, epic French cheese, travel, dreams, liveaboard sailing life, the list goes on.

Music, Movies, and Books

Theroux, Bill Bryson, Jarrod Diamond, Tim Winton, Jeff Lang, Bonnie Rait, Trent Dalton, Simon Winchester, travel epics etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This morning I had eggs and bacon on gluten free wrap with tomatoes, onion and this really good BBQ sauce I just got.

I haven't sky dived.... yet:-)

Teach, Learn, Share

Language. I'm fascinated by it. There's nothing better than being understood by someone in another country when its not your native language.

Life only becomes tedious when we forget to have fun and lose touch with our true spirit and dreams. This isn't a rehearsal. Go get what you manifest and dare dream for.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good local knowledge, outdoors fun (if we get time), healthy food, clean space, travel stories, a peaceful quiet setting to relax in.

I have a house mate currently (from Uruguay) and we co-exist well! Lots of room to camp on a couch or swag, plus big lawns and forest backyard to park a vehicle if you'd like that better. I'm sometimes on my yacht nearby.

Chickens, wallabies, birdlife galore, easy access to town and the beaches.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Macedonia, Malaysia, Montenegro, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Vanuatu

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Germany
