About Me

Greetings! I am gentle soul making his way as a bodyworker/massage therapist and learning about fixing peoples' pains.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm studying to be a Structural Integrator (a.k.a. Rolfer) in Laguna Beach at The New School for Structural Integration. Structural Integration is a form of manual therapy, similar to massage, but has much more lasting effects on pain management and posture correction. I'll be flying there from Philadelphia about once a month for long-weekend classes and am in need of a place to sleep. I'm open to helping out with meals or light chores! I don't know if I'll have access to a car but, if I do, I can do some grocery runs, too. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2010 I took a trip to Belize. Worrying about running out of money while I was there and potentially not being able to get back home, I spoke to a man who told me that I could get by on a few dollars a day in Guatemala. He said that a boat would be leaving from Belize to Guatemala in an hour. I gathered my things and took a boat to a country I knew very little about with no real plan. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made!
