I am retired and have traveled several times staying mostly at Couchsurfing homes and youth hostels. I find this is a wonderful way to get to know people and the local culture.. It is been an excellent experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offer a bedroom for 1-2 nights to people who might visit western Massachusetts about 2 hours from Boston in Amherst where the University of Massachusetts is located.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed with 2 lovely families in the United Kingdom who treated us like royalty and it was a great experience. All of my experiences have been excellent.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
seeing the Fountains Abbey in England. Zermatt Switzerland, Bangkok Thailand, Edam in the Netherlands, stayed at the Alhamba (paradores of Spain),the guns of Dunkirk, volcano in Hawaii, inland waterways of Alaska,
and many others.
