About Me

I am very open-minded, when it comes to people and culture and I believe that life is about learning from each other to enable ourselves to live better and happier lives. My love for literature brought me to the field of English and German, especially, because reading one of my favourite novels ever, Catcher in the Rye, in English taught me, that the beauty of stories does not only depend on the content, but on the beauty of the words used to tell it in the first place. Furthermore I love music, electronic music, rock, punk and a whole lot of other genres, because to my mind it is not too much about the kind of music, but about the moment and the people you share it with.
Right now I am making a lot of progress in finding out more about myself and finally becoming an adult, which sounds rather phony, but is basically what I am up to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Due to the state of changing I am in, I decided to travel as much as possible during my time in uni and go abroad afterwards, so I am looking for a network of new interesting people all over the world to connect with, because I plan on seeing the world independant and on my own, but not lonely. People are always a great part of what makes places beautiful and I am looking forward to meeting a lot of beautiful minds out there.

Interests

I am basically interested in everything, because I think that everything is fun, if you have fun doing it.
I like going to parties, concerts, second-hand shops, museums, libraries, playgrounds, indoor playgrounds, fitness centers, theatres, I would probably go to a discussion about how important poptarts are for the education system, if somebody was really passionate about going there.

Music, Movies, and Books

Like I said somewhere above, I like a lot of different types of music and it is pretty much the same with books and movies.
My favourite books are mostly written by people who are dead by now, which sometimes really upsets me.
My favourite movies range from art house movies to "funny" movies like "New Kids" or series for children.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done a lot of small things that amazed me, like spontanious trips to Holland with my best friend, but I spent 2 month working on the seaside in a hotel, when I was 16. I went there without my parents and lived in a house with small rooms for seasonal workers and it was probably the happiest time of my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope that I can share my passion for everything around me with hosts, plus I am a very ambitious cook and make heart-melting heart-shaped muffins, which I am willing to produce if wanted
