About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To add colours and nuances to that great picture that is my life! Any experience casts a different shade of its own colour.

ABOUT ME

I'm an exentric personality who is not afraid to stay a child in her head. I might be a bit shy and quiet at first but I warm up pretty fast.
I'm outgoing and always laughing.

I am crazy about languages. So far I have learned English and Spanish. I gave Russian a shot and would like to try again later in life. But I won'€™t stop there. I would like to study sign language, Gaelic and maybe Greek or Polish.

Why Gaelic? Because I'm fond of Scotland. The culture, the landscape... I actually do not think I know enough about it but I would talk about it for hours. It's my goal in life to go and live there (whether in 2 years or when I'€™m old, I still don't know) and to know as much as I can about it.

PHILOSOPHY

Always look on the bright side of life.

Never judge a book by its cover.

There's no such thing as too many books.

We're all mad here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can show people around in the city.
Hang out with them or party with them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experience is rather limited but it has always been a positive one. I stayed with some people in Germany and Canada and I have met a couple of people in Brussels for drinks. Last year I went to Oxford where I had the pleasure of taking part in a CS meeting and I met some lovely people.

Interests

I'm interested in Litterature, languages and History.
I like discovering new places and new people.
I love Scotland and anything related to the Celtic culture.
I am a crazy book lady. I have tons of them and could never stop wanting more. But, like one of my father's colleague once said "Would you rather have her spend all that money on drugs? " He wasn't convinced but I was!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
Jane Eyre
Outlander (Diana Gabaldon)(and the following sequels)
All Souls Trilogy
L'amour, Béatrice

I have rather eclectic tastes going from not so good at all to good. I hate anything realted to horror (I'm a big chicken at heart). I have also a great weakness for romances but I like when they're written in a way that proves those people have a brain and some self estime.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen the beauty of nature when everything stands still in the morning and you can really admire it. The sun rising, a rabbit running in the forest, the full moon in the sky.

I've also met some extraordinary people who have taught me lots of things.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach French or English. I also speak Spanish and could help people who would like to practice conversation.

Otherwise I would gladly develop my Russian further.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, Scotland, Spain, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Belgium
