About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To drink wine and eat good food and live the good life.
ABOUT ME
I am a first generation american nut brought up by my Jamaican and British parents in California which makes my habits quite odd but my love for travel bigger than apple pie for giants, really big ones.
I studies politics, eventually, but enjoy philosophy art and active studies. Love thinking about the way the world is goind, in other worlds global climate change, development of ex-colonial countires and increaing globalization, and figuring out my place and meeting other people in their places.
I love to be out doors enjoying the beach or a good hike, and especially swimming and reading in hammocks with a good view, sunset and a nice drink. I also loe to curl up in bed or by the fire and read and watch really good movies or faulty towers and other english comedies all day.
I feel at home almost anywhere and I like to make people feel at home. I am addicted to discovering new places meeting as many interesting odd and fun people as possible and having the best time ever. I do not like to take life too seriously (although I take questioning things in life very seriously) and I love people who naturally help me remember that.
PHILOSOPHY
breathe, act and dont regret, self educate continuously, dance, indulge and deprive, mix it up and keep guidelines as long as you are willing to break them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far ... Helping others understand what CS is all about, trying to spread that honest and hopeful faith in people. Joined a couple groups to offer up my knowledge. Oh and trying to make CS a safe place for women with the hopes that one day my friends and family wont shit their pants because I travel alone and welcome strangers into my home. Peace all!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Ive been traveling for around 4 months now and couch surfing the entire way... except for 1 night in Berlin, which was quite tramatic actually, hostels scare me now.
Im that person who meets travelers and invites them to stay and break bread with my family ... most people get a little weirded out and politely refuse the offer, (maybe bc I was slurring a bit too much) anyways, to learn that there is a whole community of people who do that all the time, well that just made my day :) You people are weird! thank you!
Interests
beach-bonfires/camping/sunning /drinking/picnicking, dancing, kids, reading, hummingbirds, live music, drawing, any creative exercise, swimming, waterpolo!, water activities, lying around seemingly doing nothing but actually making a lot of headway, cooking, food, eating, jamaican food, and more jamaican food, spicy food, being silly and laughing a lot, oh and well I guess I like to travel a bit.

Music, Movies, and Books
love Huxley, Niapaul and Kundera, enamoured with Bryce Courtney ... last book i fell in love with was Kunderas immortality. Paulo Coehlo is out of this world and I always enjoy Kafka. Basically I read a lot and I love books. Reggae till I drop ... I love to dance! love world music, and I know its boring but I listen to everything, just as long as its got some heart. I love to watch films, new ones, old favorites, wierd and beautiful foreign ones and stoner ones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
jumping out of a plane and then running into the ocean right after ... something about the transition and the effect on your body mind and spirit, extremely refreshing. scuba diving turned my world inside out, so did being stung by a spanish man-o-war, ouch. Ive eaten a bite of a scotch bonnet pepper - hot. ive gotten lost in the middle of the costa rican jungle only to find a beautiful untouched waterfall... I walked across the golden gate bridge, backwards.
