Overview
About Me
hi! i’m coco or corine (they/themme pronouns) I’m an artist, educator, care worker, and organizer living in Boston MA in the US (the traditional and occupied land of the Massachusett on Turtle Island). I’m fully vaccinated ♥️
I am passionate about the creative arts (theater, music, visual art, etc.) and how they can be used to empower and create positive social change. I am particularly interested in racial and economic justice, LGBTQ* rights, education, and abolition / transformative justice, and I work in community based orgs/ non-profits, carceral spaces, and art museums and galleries.
I'm a low-key person, very clean and organized, and am easy going. I love dogs, good food, doing art, hanging out and going out and exploring everywhere. I am very adventurous and free spirited, and am always down to try something new. I love brewing/ craft beer, am a Trekkie, play lots of board games and DnD, and enjoy herbalism / foraging. I love dark room photography, printmaking, fashion design/ textile art, and creative writing/poetry. I also love the outdoors (hiking, kayaking, swimming, etc.) and love traveling and seeing the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
the Couchsurfing community and ideals are something I absolutely love. It's more than sharing your home for a traveler, or even traveling, but about cultural exchange, making new friends, pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone, meeting amazing folks from around the world and in your own community. It's brought me so much joy, given me wonderful experiences and conversations, and made me a whole lot of lifelong friends. I wish to share as much with others as possible and also learn from others, and the mission of Couchsurfing makes that possible in many ways!
