ABOUT ME
Mechanical Engineer working for one of the 'big 3' in the auto industry. I'm constantly travelling to new places and I always like meeting new people and learning about their experiences and cultures. I suffered a broken femur during a November trip to Peru, so my travelling ability has been a little hindered as of recently.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm always travelling and find it much more enjoyable crashing on someones couch who brings great company and tips on how to best enjoy the area than staying in a standard hotel and keeping to myself.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While riding a motorcycle up to the Manu rainforest in Peru, I stopped in the tiny town of Paucartambo and walked into a local museum while drenched and covered in mud. The museum curator spoke little english, but immediately befriended me and offered to let me stay with him in the tiny room he lived in. Turns out he ran a website that was the peruvian version of couchsurfing! The landlord cooked us a delicious meal for around $2 (my first time trying alpaca) and we had great conversations into the night. While not technically found off of the couchsurfing website, I think its the essence of the new experiences this site can bring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rode a motorcycle over 1500 miles through southern Peru. Started at Cusco, then went through Santa Theresa to Machu Picchu, up into the rainforest, and south through colca canyon. An incredible experience in a beautiful country.
