About Me

Hey!

My name is Cody, I'm 21 and I live in Australia but I'm originally from England. A bit about me... I'd probably describe myself as genuine, balanced and open-minded. I'm usually a bit quiet and reserved at first, but that soon changes and I can become the life of the party! When I'm not studying, I mostly spend my spare time planning my next travels, listening to music, watching Netflix/Youtube, longboarding or hanging out with friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm going backpacking around Europe and I really want to experience living in new places, rather than just being a tourist passing through. Also, because I'm travelling solo, this would be the best opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.

Interests

My biggest "interest" is travelling, when I'm not working or studying, I'm planning my next trip!

  • arts
  • documentaries
  • dancing
  • music
  • hiking
  • science
  • urban exploration
  • travel
  • nature
  • longboarding
  • amateur photography
  • biomedical sciences

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I like a bit of everything, but lately I've been listening to a lot of ambient/lounge, electronic and 90's eurodance.

Movies/TV:
All movies directed by Wes Anderson are great, I also watch a lot of nordic crime thrillers.

Books:
I don't read as much as I should, but I have a collection National Geographic magazines. The last book I read was 'The Utopia Experiment' by Dylan Evans.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Self-taught myself to ride a unicycle.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I could teach you how to play the jaw harp, or help with English

Learn: I like to learn how is life as a local where you live.

Share: Stories!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm definitely the kind of person who would hate to be a freeloader so I'd feel obliged to earn my keep in some way or another. I can cook some great food! and I can help with chores, running errands, DIY, etc... you name it :)

Countries I’ve Visited
