About Me

I'm trying to see the world as it is, and meeting people in the places I visit is a great way to really connect with the place and an opportunity to meet someone new.

I am super mellow and like to play outside, rock climb, mountain bike, backpack, play guitar, drink beer and move around.

I'm basing this year around talking long walks and good conversation.

Also I am traveling the with user Corey Skillman.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One should break bread with their neighbor and learn and love all that they can.

I love meeting new people with different life experiences.

I spent 3 nights surfing with someone from Swindon and it was like finding a brother separated at birth. That is the kind of connection I'm looking for everywhere.

Interests

I'm a woodworker. I like to play outside. Backpacking, rock climbing, biking, music, travel, I'm interested in everything that doesn't just involve sitting on a couch.

Music, Movies, and Books

Tonight I was listening to Jazz and Miles Davis. Yesterday I listened to Queen, World Inferno Friendship society and Mastodon. The day before that I was listening to a playlist with Blitzen Trapper and Blind Pilot on it. So.. music is good. listen to it.

I apply the Bob Waters philosophy to books.
Read for the sake of learning about subjects and yourself.

Fan of Mel Brooks and Wes Anderson. That is not to say we didn't jump for joy when Guardians of the Galaxy came out. I also enjoy documentaries and Dr. Who.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On a whim I moved from my home state of Washington halfway across the continent to live in Chicago, which I did for two years. I moved back to climb in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest.

Corey and I spent a night locked in the zoo in Barcelona. Two thieves were waiting for us to fall asleep to take our bags. Around six in the morning the gates were opened and we watched the Mediterranean sun rise on the beach.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching things I'm excited about.
-How to fix and do silly things on bicycles
-Basic guitar and bass
-Camping, hiking, hammocking
-Woodworking
-Kayaking
-how to cook a breakfast that makes your partner love you

I like to share American food cultures while try international ones.

Sharing the human experience is the best way to build a better world for all of us to live in. I'm very excited to share all perspectives. One of my favorite things is sharing in adventures and I'm looking forward to having them with different people from all over the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am great at breakfast foods and jamming on different instruments.
I'm also a beer brewer and looking forward to trying all of Europe's best this fall, with my hosts of course.
