About Me

Umm. I am an island dude. I am crazy about traveling and been to a couple of countries. I am graduating in May with a major in Communication Studies and a minor in Deaf Studies. I am very open minded and always find a way to communicate about anything despite I am Deaf and use ASL. Please hit me up if you have any!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My sister and her girlfriend are the members. They told me about couchsurfing and I was like "Really? I really like this!". It is because I love meeting new people and check out their places. I also love houses. I live in a 1900's house. Please do not hesitate to ask me if you have any!

Interests

I am very interested in building a bridge between hearing and deaf world. I love philosophy. It is a must when you talk about building the bridge between places.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not a kind of person who favors many thing. I live a very simple life. I have really few favorite things. I can eat the same food over and over everyday. I guess that can be my favorite thing. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think my experience riding in an old military cargo plane and watch the donation boxes being parachuted to tiny islands in Pacific Island is the best I ever had. You can look up at one of the pictures which I took a selfie of myself. :) I think it is because I started waving to them right after parachuting and the people became revealed to us by coming out of the island jungles and started waving back to us is the greatest feeling I ever felt. I finally felt that I actually made a difference on a large scale.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I get older, I realize the value of education because being Deaf, I think it has more challenges than normal human beings in the privileged society. Often times, it is because many of them did not know about the abilities and needs of being Deaf. Many of my relatives are either former or current teachers, teaching any type of people about any TYPE of thing will empower the person and ALSO the teacher. Education is probably the core of evolution.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love people! it means I believe in attempting to build a relation ship. I enjoy teaching my natural language which is American Sign Language. If you are full of curious, dont be shy to ask me to teach you the signs!
